The Philippine Science High School System has 16 campuses in the Philippines. At the height of the pandemic in the year 2020, PSHS decided to implement an online platform called Knowledge Hub (KHub) with the use of the Moodle LMS to be able to still deliver learning contents to their students at the safety of their homes.
We, Nephila Web is their hosting partner, trainor and consultant in this implementation. It was agreed that each campus will have their own Moodle LMS, and another one LMS for their central repository wherein all faculty and staff across the campuses can freely access. Nephila Web setup a total of 17 servers and Moodle LMS version 3.9 at the time for all their stakeholders.
Representatives from each campuses undergone the Moodle Training for Teachers and Site Administrators. These representatives further provided trainings to other faculty. With the knowledge and skills gained from the trainings the PSHS KHub was launched and was able to provide learning contents to the students and the teachers are able to design their own online courses, monitor their students and provide feedback and grades online.
Nephila Web support and maintenance services is still ongoing on it’s 3rd year now. We also provided open training courses to the PSHS Faculty for new updated and features available in the latest versions of the Moodle LMS.
