Last May 7–8, 2026, the team of Nephila Web Technology Inc. traveled to San Antonio, Zambales for its annual team building activity.

Amid the summer heat, the activity became a refreshing escape from the team’s daily routines and responsibilities at work. More than just a recreational activity, the team building served as an opportunity for everyone to unwind, reconnect, and strengthen the camaraderie that continues to bind the Nephila Web team together. It was a meaningful experience that promoted collaboration, trust, and work-life balance among all team members.

One of the highlights of the event was the series of activities conducted during the first day, facilitated by Ms. Vida Santos-Arciaga and the team from Center for Research, Education, Solutions and Training (CREST). The activities emphasized the importance of team development and effectively managing team dynamics through Bruce Tuckman’s Five Stages of Team Development: Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, and Adjourning.

Each activity was thoughtfully designed to reflect these stages, allowing the team to become more open, collaborative, strategic, and trusting of one another. Through every challenge, participants demonstrated stronger communication, deeper understanding, and greater confidence within the team.

One of the most memorable activities was the “Cup Stacking Challenge,” a fun yet highly engaging teamwork exercise. Using only rubber bands, strings, and cups, each team was tasked to stack the cups in descending order without directly touching them. The first team to successfully complete the challenge was declared the winner.

Although simple in concept, the activity powerfully demonstrated the value of teamwork, communication, cooperation, planning, leadership, and execution. It highlighted how unity and collaboration are essential in achieving organizational success. The game also reinforced the importance of trust, patience, and synchronized effort among team members.

Another exciting activity was the “Blanket Name Game,” where participants were divided into two groups. Each group selected a volunteer who would sit in front of a blanket divider. At the facilitator’s signal, the blanket would drop, and the first player to correctly identify the name of the person in front of them would win the round. The game created laughter, excitement, and opportunities for team members to become more familiar and comfortable with one another.

One of the most heartfelt moments of the activity was when each participant was asked to bring and share their most valuable possession. As every team member explained the significance of their chosen item, the atmosphere became more personal and meaningful. Everyone listened attentively to one another’s stories, creating a safe space for openness and authenticity. It became an opportunity for the team to know each other on a deeper level, strengthening trust, empathy, and emotional connection within the organization.

As the day came to a close, the team enjoyed an evening filled with bonding activities, a pool party, and a sumptuous dinner shared together. The night concluded with an awarding ceremony, games, prizes, and messages of commitment from the team.

In celebration of Nephila Web’s 15 years of shared success, growth, and innovation, the event became a meaningful reminder of the organization’s journey and collective achievements. Each team member reaffirmed not only their dedication to one another, but also their commitment to Nephila Web Technology Inc. and the mission the company continues to uphold in delivering excellence, innovation, and digital transformation.

The following day welcomed the team with renewed energy and excitement as they embarked on island-hopping adventures around the beautiful islands of Zambales. Surrounded by nature, pristine beaches, and breathtaking scenery, the team enjoyed moments of relaxation, discovery, and appreciation for one another’s company.

The Nephila Weavers Team Building 2026 was truly more than just an outing, it was a celebration of unity, collaboration, friendship, and the enduring spirit of the Nephila Web team.
