MEC is the Moodle Educator Certification and it is based on the European Framework for Digital Competences for Educators (DigCompEdu). DigCompEdu articulates 22 competences in six areas, as shown below and MEC has one course for each area: Professional Engagement, Digital Resources, Teaching and Learning, Assessment, Empowering acquired, candidates receive the Moodle Educator Certificate. MEC gives candidates the opportunity for professional development, examining Moodle potentials in cases of blended, mobile and online education. MEC is based on case studies and the use of Moodle to support school students, adults in higher education and workplace training.<\/span><\/p>\n MEC courses are asynchronous, online, facilitated and are offered by specialised Moodle Partners and occasionally by Moodle. MEC courses may be completed in any order, depending on the provider.
